Day 1: Baltra Island will be reached by you in the morning. You will be greeted and transported to the yacht by a member of the Horizon staff after clearing immigration and baggage claim. Before lunch and a welcome briefing, you will be led to your cabin where you will have some time to settle in. You will travel to Sullivan Bay in the afternoon, which is situated in Santiago’s southeast. The area is covered in lava flows, which makes the geology of this place interesting. The lava flows in this area have created small volcanoes as elevations.
Day 2: A panga ride to Vicente Roca Point on Isabela Island, which is made up of two distinct coves and where you will see amazing marine life, will be the first activity of the day. Penguins, blue-footed boobies, and Nazca boobies are also present. Head to Espinosa Point in the afternoon. This location is home to a variety of native wildlife, including the flightless cormorant, sea lions, penguins, crabs, herons, and more. Day’s end and dinner served aboard.
Day 3: After breakfast, the Trimaran will arrive at Tagus Cove, which was once a favorite hideout for pirates and whalers and is now a wonderful place to see mangroves and the native species that live there. Tagus Cove is located west of Darwin Volcano on Isabela Island. You will visit Urbina Bay in the afternoon, one of the most recent examples of geological volcanic uplift in the Galapagos, where numerous tortoises, Galapagos Penguins, flightless cormorants, and brown pelicans regularly build their nests. Snorkeling is also a good activity here.
Day 4: You will travel by dinghy early in the morning to Elizabeth Bay, the only location where old tropical mangrove forests grow and where penguins live in them. After lunch, you will travel to Moreno Point, which is famous for its panoramic views of Cerro Azul and Sierra Negra as well as its lagoons along the coast where white-tipped sharks can be seen. Dinner and the end of the day on the trimaran.
Day 5: You will go to the “Fausto Llerena” Tortoise Breeding Center in Puerto Ayora, which is a facility for the captive breeding of giant tortoises. Tortoises that range in size from 3-inches (new hatchlings) to adults that are 4-feet long reside here. Visit the Highlands in the afternoon. The highlands of Santa Cruz, which are reachable by bus from Puerto Ayora, are a rich green color that contrasts stunningly with the dry, lower region of the islands. Here is where you’ll eat lunch.
Day 6: You will land on a beach and travel to the location of a wooden barrel that 18th-century whalers used as an unauthorized mail box. Visit Devil’s Crown later. The rocky remnants of an offshore volcano that protrude out of the water are known as Devil’s Crown, and you will have the opportunity to snorkel around them. A variety of marine life can be seen here in abundance. To Cormorant Point, go. A sizable flamingo lagoon can be found at Cormorant Point, along with other birds like white-cheeked pintails and common stilts.
Day 7: Journey to Santa Fe Island. On the northeastern coast of Santa Fe Island (Barrington), there is a small, charming bay and anchorage. There are two visitor trails in the bay, one of which extends from a small beach to a tall prickly pear cactus forest. The other leads to a picturesque viewpoint perched atop a cliff. Go to Lobos Island next. Lobos Island, also known as “Sea Lion Island,” is the destination of your excursion. Additionally, this island provides fantastic snorkeling opportunities and the opportunity to see blue-footed and Nazca boobies.
