Genovesa is known for being The Bird Land of Galápagos. This Island has many diversity in birds as in types like as in numbers. Genovesa Island, which lies in the northeastern region of the Galapagos archipelago, with a surface area of roughly 14 km2 and a maximum elevation of 64 meters. The ruins of a former shield volcano may be seen on this Island. A long, flat crater was gradually formed by several lava flows, and when one of the caldera’s sides collapsed, saltwater entered which is the reason we nowadays see a sheltered horseshoe bay. 

Genovesa’s habitat is somewhat mixed. The Island has excellent chances for interpretative tours and walks led by nudist guides. Moreover, there are several activities that are optional but are included in the itineraries of permitted vessels by the Galapagos National Park Directorate. From the cliff’s edge at the end of the road, one may take in the picturesque surroundings. 

Among the many animals you can encounter near the shorebirds there are, Darwin’s finches, masked boobies, red-billed tropicbirds, and other birds that nest on this island are lava gulls, yellow-crowned and lava herons, curlews, and other species.
