During The Humboldt Explorer Diving Galapagos Cruise visitors will get the opportunity to dive and interact with sea lions, turtles, hammerhead sharks, white tip sharks, dolphins, manta rays, Galapagos sharks and huge schools of other kinds of rays and wildlife itself. Tours of the island will uncover the flora, fauna and rich treasures of historical island life documented once by none other than Charles Darwin. Humboldt Explorer Cruise has capacity for 16 passengers in 8 air-conditioned double and twin cabins on the main and lower decks. All cabins have ocean view, TV/DVD, hot water and private bathrooms. Bed sheets, including linens, towels, comforters and snorkeling towels are provided aboard the vessel.Ā
Diving on this cruise may be difficult and only for experienced divers since its currents can be challenging. For this reason, guests who wish to dive must be certified as open sea scuba divers by an internationally recognized and certified organization, experienced (more than 100 logged dives is recommended), and may have logged at least one dive within the 6 months prior to boarding the vessel.

MON San Cristobal Airport

Day 1: When you arrive at Baltra Airport, you will be welcomed by the yacht’s crew and therefore, relocated to Humboldt Explorer for check-in and lunch. You will then set sail for Isla Lobos for a visit and a dive with a safety presentation. Following dinner, the ship will depart for its next planned destination.
Day 2: You will travel to North Seymour early in the day to take your first dive, where you will encounter rays and schools of fish. You will then travel to North Seymour in the midday for a habitat visit to see frigate birds and blue footed boobies. Sea lions and marine iguanas can also be seen laying down on the beach.
Day 3: Visitors will have 2 different dives at Wolf Island in the early morning hours where you will see hammerhead sharks, red lipped batfish, eagle rays, and sea lions. Galapagos and lovely soft sharks are also familiar sightings.
Day 4: Visitors will be given another chance to enjoy the fantastic time of diving in the waters of Wolf’s Island. This day will include four dives (one at 6:30 a.m., another at 9:00 a.m., and at last at 14:00 and 16:30 p.m.).
Day 5: On day 5, you will travel to Darwin Island and initiate your diving adventure at 6:30 a.m. Visitors will be offered the opportunity to see hammerhead sharks (depending on the season), eagle rays, and Galapagos sharks. To round out the day, there will be dives at 10:30, 14:00, and 16:30.
Day 6: The day will include a trip to Wolf Island, with three dives scheduled between 6:30 and 11:00 a.m. During this diving adventure, you may see hammerhead sharks, green turtles, several species of manta rays, schools of colorful fish, dolphins, and, if you’re lucky, whales.
Day 7: Early in the morning, you’ll go diving at Cousin’s Rock, a triangle rock that is about a hundred feet long and thirty feet above the surface. The depth of the water can exceed 90 feet. The region is used as a cleaning station by white tip sharks, stingers and eagle rays, sea lions and turtles, and an amazing diversity of intriguing and colorful schools of reef fish. After that, the yacht will take you to Santa Cruz Island, where you will take a bus to see the giant tortoises in their natural habitat. Then you’ll go on your own to Puerto Ayora and the Charles Darwin Research Center.
Day 8: Following breakfast, you will be driven to the airport to catch your flight back to the mainland.
