Day 1: You will be taken to the dock to board Ocean Spray Catamaran after landing at Baltra Island’s airport. You will be transported to your initial tour spot, Chinese Hat, which was given this name because of its unusual shape, after settling into the catamaran and eating lunch. You can see fragile volcanic rock remnants and animals like Galapagos penguins and oystercatchers snorkeling along the shores at this location. Additionally, snorkeling is possible here. Day’s end and dinner served aboard.
Day 2: The first thing to do is travel to Vicente Roca Point on Isabela Island. This location is the ideal location to see a variety of bird species, including blue-footed and Nazca boobies, in addition to having outstanding geological formations. At this location, snorkeling is another activity you can engage in while spotting sea turtles, fur seals, and sea lions. You’ll travel to Espinosa Point on Fernandina Island in the late afternoon to see marine iguanas and sea lions.Ā At this location, you can go on a hike to the peak or go snorkeling in the bay.
Day 3: You’ll board a panga first thing in the morning to travel to Tagus Cove. After landing, you will hike to a cliff that offers breathtaking views of the cove and the nearby mangrove forest. This area is home to numerous species, including flightless cormorants, land iguanas, and sea lions. Snorkeling is also possible here. Day’s end and dinner served aboard.
Day 4: A panga ride to Elizabeth Bay will be the first thing you do today. Since there is no landing area within this area, you will have to observe marine life from a distance. After lunch, spend the afternoon at Moreno Point, a great location for birdwatching. Upon landing, you will visit the coastal lagoons where white-tipped sharks can be seen. Following a short hike, you will be treated to a stunning view of the Sierra Negra and Cerro Azul Volcanoes in the distance.
Day 5: You will first disembark at Santa Cruz. Day 1: As soon as you arrive, you’ll receive assistance and a transfer from Baltra Airport to the M/C Ocean Spray. You’ll go to Santa Fe Island for the first time in the afternoon. Once native to this area, giant tortoises became extinct as a result of being used as food by pirates and sailors.
Day 2: You will travel to Espanola Island’s Suarez Point in the morning. The first and only Waved Albatross breeding site in the Galapagos is located along the trail. Marine iguanas, which maintain their vibrant colors all year long, Galapagos doves, Nazca boobies, blue-footed boobies, swallow-tailed gulls, and Darwin Finches are other species that can be spotted. Later on, you’ll travel to Gardner Bay. This beach’s white sands and amazingly turquoise and blue waters are home to a sizable sea lion colony. The Spanish mockingbird and three different finches are visible. It is crucial not to pet or feed the animals. Their future may be in danger and their regular behaviors may be disturbed. You can snorkel here as well.
Day 3: You will go to San Cristobal Island’s Interpretation Center and the Galapagos in the morning. Public access to the Interpretation Center is available. The Galapaguera Center has created a semi-natural habitat where giant tortoises can roam and are bred there. Visit Kicker Rock and Lobos Island in the late afternoon. The numerous sea lions that live here and rest and play along the rocky shores have given the island its name, Lobos. Numerous different species of birds, including pelicans, frigate birds and their nests, yellow warblers, and others, call it home.
Day 4: You will learn about Punta Pitt as your first day’s activity. You can observe the various historical developments that resulted from the island’s formation by volcanic activity. Incredible viewpoints of the nearby waters can be seen after a climb to the summit. You get to spend a while at the picturesque Witch Hill in the afternoon. When you first pass Witch Hill in a panga, the shoreline has amazing crevices and crumbling rocks. After that, get ready to visit a beach with fine white sand and azure or turquoise water.
Day 5: Go to Post Office Bay, a location that has long been used for postings, in the morning. You’ll go to Cormorant Point in the late afternoon. It’s fascinating to visit Cormorant. There are two beaches nearby, and just past the first beach is a saltwater lagoon home to flamingos. One of the beaches has olivine crystals that give it a green appearance, and the other is popularly known as Flour Beach due to its fine, chalky white sand made from crushed coral. You will then travel to Devil’s Crown. One of the best snorkeling spots is at Devil’s Crown. Incredible volcanic formations that have sunk underneath the surface throughout time can be seen.
Day 6: Black Turtle Cove will be your final stop. On Santa Cruz Island’s northern side is Black Turtle Cove. This mangrove-lined, shallow inlet offers a natural haven for a wide range of marine life, drawing the young, vulnerable members of many species.Ā Here, blue-footed boobies and pelicans dive delicately into the water to catch prey. Sadly, you must now depart from here for Baltra Airport to catch your flight back to the mainland.
