Sacha Amazon Lodge name comes from the Quechua Indian word meaning āforestā. This lodge combines the highest comfort with the environment and rainforest landscapes experience. Sacha Lodge receives help from 170 local employees. The lodge has 26 rooms which include single, double and if needed triple accommodations. There are also three family cabins. All cabins have thatched roofs, private shaded terraces with hammocks, spacious private bathrooms with flushing toilets and hot-water showers. Some cabins may also feature floor-to-ceiling windows for a unique jungle shower experience. Important thing to name is that all cabins are screened against insects and contain ceiling fans.
A jungle retreat also needs spaces to enjoy the forest experience. Because of this, the lodge includes, first of all, the āBalsaā , a unique al fresco lounge experience in which breathtaking views are seen. It is also the perfect place to read a book, bird watch, enjoy some drinks or watch the sunset. The restaurant is rustic and offers delicious and pristine dishes with an open atmosphere. The chef concentrates on using fresh and sustainable ingredients on meals. There is also a safari-lodge with sofas along the bamboo made up bar.
