Espinosa Point

What you need to know about Espinosa Point, Galápagos

Here, one may observe both the raging and quivering “A’as” lava as well as the gentle and flowing Pahoehoe lava flows. One of Punta Espinoza highlights is the vast sea iguana population. The only species of iguana that can swim is a cold-blooded reptile. To eat the algae that grows on rocks, they dive. After coming back from the cold waters they gather together to get some warmth. Passing through the path of marine iguanas, you will also get to see some sea lions and penguins feeding and playing around. However, the most amazing animal to see here is called the non flier “Cormorant” which is a very unusual bird.
