Rábida is a small red sanded Island. Here, visitors can take a walk around the beach, inland and up the cliffs. They may find lazy Galápagos Sea Lions laying on the beach taking some sun in. Behind the beach, pink flamingos (which are pink because of their diet) often are there with their head down seeking for food to feed in. Pretty Pintail Ducks y Stilts are also seen along the beach. Visitors can access the cliffs at Rabida via a little walk. The walk leads you through a grove of native Opuntia (prickly pear) cactus and Palo Santo trees. For land birds, this is the ideal environment. Along the path, Galápagos Snakes can occasionally be seen.

Nevertheless, Rábida is a great place to go snorkeling. Although observations of marine life vary, reef sharks, sea lions, and Galapagos fish are frequently seen.
