This little length of beach has pure white sand and turquoise seas, and it is an important nesting location for sea turtles on the islands. In English, the name “Bachas” translates to “The Barges.” After WWII, the United States Navy abandoned two ships here from its station on adjacent Balta Island. Today, visitors may see the rusted sides of the barge jutting out from beneath the sand. Las Bachas is a beautiful swimming beach where guests may swim among marine iguanas, sea lions, and reef sharks.
